Terry Tobacco       March 2, 1936 - March 2, 2026 Yesterday in our  newspaper The Comox Valley Record up here on Vancouver Island I saw the obituary for Terry Tobacco, a local and largely forgotten hero.  He grew up in the mining and lumber camp town of Cumberland, and made it to the big time of international athletics.    Here is the story I wrote about meeting him a few years ago.   GB Terry Tobacco   link "Great job, George.  I remember the name because it was distinctive and I'd seen it in results, but knew little about the man.  Thank you for coloring between the lines."   Or something like that.  Keep up the good work.  Roy,   Ukiah, CA B...
